Counselling for children and young people can help support the navigation of children's development; stages and also help to succeed their academic goals and offer support for social and emotional growth.
Counselling sessions for younger people are typically short-term in nature and focus on solutions to help your child succeed in all areas of their development. I recommend six sessions to begin with and an additional session where I invite to meet with the parents or guardians to gage an idea of any presenting issues and background information. A review will then be carried out and sessions can be extended if required and agreed.
Counselling activities will include individual sessions and focus on helping students learn ways to build positive social skills, gain confidence in their ability to interact with others and learn ways to deal with problems and conflicts constructively and to help the young people succeed to meet their own personal goals.
